Downloading and Exporting Videos

Downloading and Exporting Videos

After rendering, ClipsMate provides multiple options for downloading and exporting your video content. This guide covers all the ways to get your finished videos off the platform and into the world.

Downloading Your Video

  1. Go to "My Videos" and find the rendered video.
  2. Click the video card to open the details view.
  3. Click the "Download" button.
  4. Select your preferred resolution: 720p, 1080p, or 4K (available resolutions depend on your plan).
  5. The download starts immediately as an MP4 file.

Magic Resize

Magic Resize lets you generate multiple aspect ratio versions of a single video with one click:

  • 16:9 — landscape for YouTube, websites, and presentations.
  • 9:16 — portrait for Instagram Reels, TikTok, YouTube Shorts, and Stories.
  • 1:1 — square for Instagram feed, Facebook feed, and LinkedIn.
  • 4:5 — vertical for Instagram feed (maximum visible area).

Click "Magic Resize" from the video details page, select the desired formats, and click "Generate". Each resized version is rendered as a separate video that you can download or publish independently.

Exporting Captions

If your video has auto-captions enabled, you can export the caption file separately:

  • SRT format — the most widely supported subtitle format, compatible with YouTube, Facebook, LinkedIn, and most video players.
  • VTT format — WebVTT format used for HTML5 video players and web embedding.

Click "Export Captions" from the video details page and select your format.

Exporting Voiceover Audio

Download just the voiceover track as an MP3 file by clicking "Export Audio" from the video details page. This is useful for repurposing narration in podcasts, presentations, or other video editing tools.

Bulk Downloads

Select multiple videos from the My Videos list using the checkboxes, then click "Bulk Download". ClipsMate packages the selected videos into a ZIP file for convenient downloading. Bulk downloads are limited to 10 videos at a time to manage file sizes.

Cloud Storage

Rendered videos are stored in your ClipsMate account for 12 months on Starter plans and indefinitely on Professional, Business, and Enterprise plans. You can access and re-download any previously rendered video at any time from the My Videos section.

With flexible download and export options, your ClipsMate content is ready for any distribution channel or workflow.
