URL-to-Video: Turn Any Webpage into a Video
The URL-to-video workflow lets you repurpose existing web content into engaging video. Paste a link to any blog post, news article, or product page, and ClipsMate extracts the key information, generates a script, and builds the video automatically.
Step 1: Select URL-to-Video
Click "Create Video" and choose "URL-to-Video". You will see a URL input field and a set of configuration options.
Step 2: Paste Your URL
Enter the full URL of the page you want to convert. ClipsMate supports:
- Blog posts and news articles (WordPress, Medium, Ghost, custom CMS).
- Product and landing pages (Shopify, WooCommerce, custom sites).
- Documentation pages and how-to guides.
The AI crawler reads the page content, strips navigation and ads, and extracts the core text and images.
Step 3: Review the Extracted Content
After extraction (usually 5–10 seconds), ClipsMate displays the parsed content. You can:
- Edit the extracted text before video generation.
- Remove sections you do not want included.
- Reorder paragraphs to change the video flow.
Step 4: Configure Output Settings
- Video Length — short (30s), medium (1–2 min), or full (uses all extracted content).
- Aspect Ratio — 16:9, 9:16, or 1:1.
- Tone — informative, promotional, casual, or energetic.
- Voiceover — enable and select a voice from the AI voice library.
- Brand Kit — automatically applied if configured, or select a specific profile.
Step 5: Generate and Edit
Click "Generate Video". The AI creates a multi-scene video from the extracted content, matching visuals to each section. Once generated, the video opens in the editor where you have full control over every element — scenes, text, media, music, and voiceover.
Step 6: Render and Distribute
After editing, render your video and download it or publish directly. URL-to-video is particularly powerful for:
- Repurposing blog content into social media videos.
- Creating product demo videos from e-commerce listings.
- Turning press releases or announcements into shareable video clips.
Tips for Best Results
Pages with well-structured content (clear headings, short paragraphs, and relevant images) produce the best videos. Avoid URLs that require login or are heavily JavaScript-rendered, as the crawler may not extract all content.
URL-to-video saves hours of content creation time by transforming your existing written assets into video with just one click.
