Team Management and Roles

ClipsMate's team features let you collaborate on video production with colleagues, clients, or freelancers. Available on Business and Enterprise plans, team management provides shared access to projects, templates, and brand assets.

Inviting Team Members

Navigate to Settings > Team and click "Invite Member". Enter their email address and select a role. They will receive an invitation email with a link to join your workspace.

Understanding Roles

ClipsMate uses two primary roles:

1. Owner — full control over the workspace, including billing, plan changes, team management, API keys, and all content. There can be multiple owners.
2. Member — can create, edit, and render videos. Can access shared Brand Kits and templates. Cannot manage billing, invite or remove team members, or access API keys.

Managing Existing Members

From the Team page, you can:

• Change roles — promote a member to owner or demote an owner to member.
• Remove members — click the remove icon next to their name. Their personal content is retained and transferred to the workspace owner.
• Resend invitations — if a pending invite has expired, click "Resend" to generate a new link.

Shared Resources

When team features are active, the following resources are shared across the workspace:

• Brand Kits — all team members can use any Brand Kit profile.
• Media Library — uploads from any member are accessible to everyone.
• Custom Templates — templates saved by one member can be used by all.
• Render Credits — credits are pooled at the workspace level, not per user.

Activity Log

Owners can view a team activity log under Settings > Team > Activity. This log records video creations, renders, publishes, and member changes with timestamps and user attribution, providing full visibility into team productivity.

Seat Limits

Business plans include up to 10 team seats. Enterprise plans offer unlimited seats. If you need additional seats on the Business plan, contact support for a custom quote. Each seat does not incur a per-user fee — team access is included in the plan price.
