Introducing 11 New Video Composition Types

Expanding What's Possible with Automated Video

Since launching ClipsMate, our most consistent user request has been more variety in video styles. Creators want templates that go beyond simple text-on-background slideshows — they want dynamic, visually compelling compositions that look like they were crafted by a motion graphics professional. Today, we're delivering on that request with 11 new composition types that dramatically expand ClipsMate's creative range.

The New Composition Types

1. Kinetic Typography

Words fly, bounce, scale, and rotate in sync with narration. Each word or phrase is individually animated with timing matched to the voiceover, creating the energetic text-driven videos popular on Instagram Reels and TikTok. Three animation styles are included: bold impact, smooth elegance, and playful bounce.

2. 3D Text Scenes

Fully rendered 3D text with realistic lighting, shadows, and depth. Place your headline in a 3D environment with customizable materials — metallic, glass, neon glow, or matte. Ideal for intros, announcements, and brand videos that need visual weight.

3. Split-Screen Comparison

Side-by-side or top-bottom layouts for before/after reveals, product comparisons, and versus-style content. Animated dividers, synchronized transitions, and independent text overlays for each panel make these compositions versatile for both educational and promotional content.

4. Data Visualization

Animated charts, graphs, and statistics that bring numbers to life. Bar charts that build in real time, pie charts that segment with smooth animations, and counter animations that tick up to your target number. Perfect for case studies, reports, and any content that needs to make data compelling.

5. Parallax Photo Animation

Static images are separated into layers and animated with depth-based parallax movement, creating a subtle 3D effect from 2D source material. This composition is particularly effective for storytelling, real estate, and product showcases.

6-11. Additional Compositions

Animated Infographic: Step-by-step process flows with iconography, connectors, and progressive reveal animations.
Quote Cards: Stylized quote presentations with author attribution, animated backgrounds, and typography options optimized for sharing.
Product Showcase Carousel: Multi-product displays with rotating cards, zoom-in details, and price tag overlays designed for e-commerce advertising.
Countdown Timer: Event promotion compositions with real-time countdown animations, date reveals, and urgency-building visual effects.
Testimonial Spotlight: Customer testimonial formats with star ratings, photo integration, brand framing, and animated quote marks.
News Ticker: Broadcast-style lower thirds and scrolling text compositions for news updates, live event coverage, and announcement videos.

How to Use the New Compositions

All 11 compositions are available immediately in your ClipsMate dashboard. When creating a new video, select "Choose Composition" and browse the expanded library. Each composition includes multiple variants and color schemes that automatically adapt to your brand palette.

Every composition works with our existing AI script generation and voiceover features. Write your content or let AI generate it, choose your composition style, and render. The entire process takes minutes, not hours.

What's Coming Next

This release is part of our V2 template engine rollout. In the coming weeks, we'll be adding composition customization controls that let you modify animation timing, color schemes, and layout proportions without needing any design skills. We're also expanding our composition library to 50+ options by the end of Q2 2026.
